Review by hotel critic
I recently spent a night at the Super 8 by Wyndham in Gillette, Wyoming, and while it wasn’t perfect, it did the job for a quick stopover. The location was convenient, right off the highway, making it easy for me and my travel companions to head towards the stunning Black Hills or the Big Horn Mountains. Though the building itself lacked a certain sparkle, I appreciated the free parking and the fact that we had a bit of space for our bags in the room. Each room had a flat-screen TV and decent coffee-making facilities, which were a nice touch after a long day of travel. The staff was quite friendly and helpful, which made a real difference in our overall experience. I skipped breakfast this time, but I noticed they offered a to-go option, which is considerate for those who are rushing out. Simply put, if you're looking for a basic place to sleep while making your way across Wyoming, this is a solid option, though I wouldn’t dare say it’s luxurious. For the price, you get a no-frills stay that serves its purpose—just be prepared for some less-than-ideal cleanliness.
